I drew one of these ladies with the wild hair, then it dawned on me that they could form a circle! so that's what I did, and I decided to make each of them represent one of the 4 elements, earth air fire and water.

I was looking through a goggle image search for some interesting Celtic knots that I could mimic onto the top part of a vase I'm making in my ceramics class as part of a theme project. I really liked the way you have the elements used in this. Knot work has always fascinated me, I'm glad there are people who make it look so beautiful and modern, thanks for giving me an idea to use on my own project.

I've been searching for something elemental to use in a quilt for the baby I hope to have. This artwork is exquisite! I don't suppose there's any way for me to get this piece on 4' x 4' of fabric? I don't want to have a shop copy your work without giving you credit - but it's important to me to incorporate my beliefs and way of life into my child's surroundings.

Very cool design 2 It must have taken ages to make all those knots.

It's really cool but they're in the wrong places. Earth represents north, fire - south, air- east and water west.

it's beautiful, regardless of unconventional placing of the elements. I'm a medieval british and irish scholar, so i understand the history there. but living in the east coast of australia this makes a lot of sense - fire to the west where the desert is; water to the east and the sea; tasmania's pretty lush and green; and north - europe and icy icy windy cold (big generalisation, I know). I know it's not a perfect schema but my point is this is a modern take on a Keltic design and so doesn't really need to be bound by tradition or place.
especially not in a fantasy gallery.
Good work Jill
